Plan now for the 3rd annual Starlight Festival organized by Nova Scotia’s Société Touristique Bon Temps d’Argyle, October 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 2015. Southwestert Nova Scotia is a star gazing region of beaches, lighthouses, wilderness and culture recommended by the National Geographic Traveler, the Globe & Mail and the Guardian. Activities will be organized to celebrate it’s clear and dark skies.
The festival will feature guided star gazing events, photo presentation, guided tours, canoeing under the stars, Starlight crafts, a star gazing platform, an astro-photography course, food, music, museum exhibits and information.
The first certified Starlight Tourism Destination and Starlight Reserve in North America by the UNESCO, Starlight Foundation. The certification name is Acadian Skies & Mi’kmaq Lands is supported by the Nova Scotia Tourism Agency, the municipalities of Yarmouth, Argyle, Clare and Acadia First Nation.
